Entrance Examination Orientations


We will hold entrance examination orientations for the 2020 Doctoral/Master’s Program in International Public Policy according to the following schedule. If you are interested in applying for the Program, or if you have any questions about the curriculum or life as a graduate student, we encourage you to participate.

Orientation 1

May 23, 2019 (Thursday), from 11:30 to 12:15,

Admission Quotas and Entrance Examination Periods

The admission quotas and entrance examination periods for International Public Policy are different for the Master’s and Doctoral programs.

2020 Entrance Examinations

July, Master’s Program (recommendation-based admission)

  • Publication of application guidelines: now available
  • Application period: May 31, 2019 (Friday), noon JST – June 7, 2019 (Friday), 3:00 p.m. JST
  • Examination date: July 5, 2019 (Friday)
  • Announcement of results: July 16, 2019 (Tuesday)

October, Master’s Program (general admission)

  • Publication of application guidelines: now available
  • Application period: September 2, 2019 (Monday), noon JST – September 20, 2019 (Friday), 3 p.m. JST
  • Examination date: October 23, 2019 (Wednesday)
  • Announcement of results: November 7, 2019 (Tuesday)

February, Master’s program (general admission)

  • Publication of application guidelines: now available
  • Application period: December 2, 2019 (Monday), noon JST – December 20, 2019 (Friday), 3 p.m. JST
  • Examination dates: January 30 and 31, 2020 (Thursday and Friday)
  • Announcement of results: February 17, 2020 (Monday)

In the International Public Policy Program, past master’s/doctoral entrance examination questions are available via three methods: viewing, copying, and mail (past two years only).
